Third front breather BJD chief Naveen Patnaik said his party will not show "any flexibility or elasticity" to support either a Congress or BJP-led government at the Centre after the Lok Sabha polls."My party's stand is quite clear that it is not at all flexible in giving support to either Congress or a BJP-led government at the Centre. There is no flexibility or elasticity from our part (in this regard)," Patnaik said. RJD chief Lalu said, "The doors for a post-poll alliance with the Left is still open. We had difference with the Left only over the civilian nuclear deal and nothing else. We have been friends with CPI(M) for a long time," Prasad told reporters when asked if he was prepared to join hands with the Left in the event of the UPA not being in a position to form its government.The Railway minister, however, said he was confident that the UPA will be able to form its government.Prasad also rubbished media reports that his Muslim votebank had split with the Congress and JD(U) making a dent into it."There is no split in our Muslim support base.

NCP chief Sharad Pawar today said he will try to bring back RJD, SP and LJP, which have fielded candidates against Congress, to the UPA and claimed that the coalition may require the support of Left parties to form a Government.
Pawar, who cast his vote in his home constituency Baramati, said he will hold discussions with leaders of RJD, Samajwadi Party and LJP, which are contesting against Congress in Bihar, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh, back into the "umbrella of UPA".He told CNN-IBN, "We may require the blessings and support of the Left (parties)."
